A trip to Berwick Upon Tweed for Hirst Locksmiths today.
Danny Hirst opened and diagnosed the fault on a UPVC front door that had not been opened for over 10 years due to it being deadlocked. Within 20 minutes of arrival, Danny had the fault diagnoses as a faulty gearbox. Hirst Locksmiths will be heading back next week to fit a new gearbox once it arrives from the suppliers. Just before leaving, Danny was asked if he could remove a snapped key from the back doors euro cylinder. Danny jumped at the chance as he really enjoys these tasks. Needless to say, the snapped portion of the key was removed in minutes! 😃
On the way home, it would have been rude not to stop and get some photos of the stunning Scottish Borders Scenery!
